Can you think of any incidents where you misinterpreted a word or an action? How did you resolve the misunderstanding?
Answer: Think-Tank asks Noodle to read out from the book in his hand. It is only a nursery rhymes book. Noodle reads out ‘Mistress Mary … row’. He hears the words ‘garden’ and ‘cockle shells’ and silver bells… He reaches the conclusion that the people of the earth have discovered how to combine agriculture and mining. They can also grow high explosives. Secondly, he hears ‘Humpty Dumpty …’ and sees the picture of an egg. It is similar to him. From this he concludes that the earthlings know him and are after his life and Mars.

Once, I praised one of my friends for his patient and tolerant behaviour. I said, “You are quite cool.” But he misheard me and thought that I called him ‘quite a fool’. He became angry and went away from my house. I was surprised. But later I guessed that he had confused ‘cool’ with ‘fool’. So I went to his house and explained the whole thing to him. He understood what I wanted to explain. We became friends again.
