Answer: Ramlal was the Numberdar of his village. He had a respectable position in the village. He had four daughters and three sons. He was a loving father. He sent his sons to the city for education. He searched good bridegrooms for his three daughters. He was worried about his youngest daughter Bholi. He took her to school. He asked his wife to bathe Bholi and give her clean clothes. He did not want to marry Bholi with Bishamber who was almost of his age. He wanted to consult Bholi in this matter. But it seems that he was in wife’s influence. Even in the end he parted with five thousand rupees for the sake of Bholi’s happiness. Thus he was a good father.

(रामलाल अपने गांव का नंबरदार था। गांव में उसकी स्थिति बहुत अच्छी थी। उसकी चार बेटियां और तीन बेटे थे। वह प्यार करने वाला पिता था। उसने अपने लड़कों को पढ़ने के लिए शहर भेजा। उसने अपनी तीन बेटियों के लिए अच्छे दूल्हों की तलाश की। वह अपनी सबसे छोटी बेटी भोली के बारे में चिंतित था। वह उसे स्कूल ले गया। उसने अपनी पत्नी से उसे नहलाने तथा उसे साफ पोशाक देने के लिए कहा। वह अपनी बेटी भोली की शादी बिशंबर से नहीं करना चाहता था जो कि लगभग उसकी आयु का था। वह इस मामले में भोली से परामर्श करना चाहता था। लेकिन ऐसा लगता है कि वह अपनी पत्नी के प्रभाव में था। यहां तक कि उसने भोली की प्रसन्नता के लिए पांच हजार रुपए भी दे दिए। अतः वह एक अच्छा पिता था।)
