Answer: Coorg or Kodagu is a land of rolling hills and evergreen rainforests. The rainforests cover
thirty per cent of this district. Here, it rains a lot during the monsoons. The hills and the rainforests are the sources of water for the river Kaveri. Mahaseer, a large freshwater fish, abounds in these waters. The forests of Coorg have a rich flora and fauna. Birds, bees, butterflies, Malabar squirrels, langurs and wild elephants find their shelter in these rainforests. The air breathes of invigorating coffee.
